Hi there!
I am Dr Silke Bollmohr, Environmental Scientist, Urban Farming Enthusiast, Permaculture Trainer, Yoga Therapist, and Ayurvedic Health Adviser.
All what I do originates from who I am:
I am Silke, mother, activist, visionary, traveler, a global citizen and passionate about a healthy environment and a healthy living, which (in my opinion) is all interconnected.
My philosophy
I aim at creating holistic ecosystems where we can re-connect with the magnificent web of life.
I offer solutions and experiences that sustain a regenerative culture, nourishing every individual on a deep level and the connections between us all for many generations to come.
That’s what it’s all about for me:
Regenerative food: urban gardening, healthy nutritious food, recipes and ingredients adapted to your ayurvedic needs
Connected body & mind: Yoga practice with breathing and mediation, adapted to your situation and needs, philosophy
Be a change maker: Leaving a positive footprint to improve planetary health through evidence based regenerative living.
My story
I believe change towards a regenerative urban culture is possible and starts within us.
During my research time I was always pointing out the problems in agriculture but never focused on the solutions. 10 years later I realized, if I want to live a happier life, I need to live a more solution orientated life, which includes my work. So I learned permaculture and started my own farming. The journey towards a more abundant and fulfilling work and life started!
After 15 years of working in science I also realised my life does not feel as a whole. I felt something is missing to balance out my life. I started to practice yoga and studied about different yoga styles (Iyengar, Hatha, Yin Yoga) and Ayurveda. After a short time I felt much better connected within myself and that enabled me to connect with my environment.
Living in different foreign spaces (Nairobi, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Berlin) I always struggled to stay connected with myself and find connection with the surrounding community. Only five years ago I started to integrate Permaculture, Yoga and Ayurveda instead of practicing and teaching it separately. Observing myself helped me to work on my habits and to make a change in my lifestyle. Observing and interact with nature and culture nourished my relationship with foreign spaces. Living in the natural cycle of the earth made me live in balance in a busy and always changing lifestyle.
As a regenerative urban farmer, yoga teacher and ayurvedic health adviser I found the pathway to a more holistic connected life and ways to leave a positive footprint.
Join me to nourish the seeds of a fertile life and to restore a wholistic relationship with our inner and outer landscape.
Regenerative living fosters a more responsible way of inhabiting the earth and one’s body
